Through an initiative facilitated by the Rainforest Alliance, SHOREA also provides support in the establishment of the Independent Smallholder Palm Oil Farmers Communication Forum in Sintang Regency.
The forum is expected to serve as a communication platform for independent smallholder farmers to:
- Strengthen coordination among farmer groups
- Improve farmers’ capacity in implementing sustainable cultivation practices
- Expand access to information and support programs for independent smallholders
